Who said you’re not creative?
How could someone made in the CREATOR’S image not be creative? Genesis 1:1 introduces us to the beginning of all creation. In the beginning–God created something BIG out of nothing! The Father dreamed of a family and created a universe to house them. He dreamed it, and then spoke it into being.
1 1-2 First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don’t see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God’s Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss. Genesis 1:1-2 Message
CREATE: bring (something) into existence, make something new
CREATIVE: having or showing an ability to make new things or think of new ideas; characterized by originality of thought; having or showing imagination
God is the master at creating something NEW out of nothing. He created our imaginations to do the same thing–to create wealth (Duet. 8:18), to create solutions to society’s issues, and to create ways to reach people. God created our brilliant minds to IMAGINE — something out of nothing! That’s called FAITH; SEEING THE UNSEEN! Without faith it’s impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6) Do you need a solution to a problem? IMAGINE! Do you need a breakthrough with a new job? IMAGINE how God wants to bless you. Do you struggle with insecurity in relationships? IMAGINE how He is healing you. Jesus to receive the Kingdom with the faith of child. That FAITH is the kind that doesn’t have any problem sitting on Jesus’ lap, laughing and imagining His purposes over us.
…that is, God who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. Romans 4:17 AMP
The woman with the issue of blood IMAGINED her healing. If she could just touch the hem of Jesus’ robe, virtue would reach her. (Luke 8:43-48) She dreamed it; then she spoke it. She received a CREATIVE miracle from Jesus, but with her CREATiVE, childlike faith!
I believe God is stirring up a CREATIVE anointing to touch all the 7 of the Mountain of culture for His glory. We have to stop the stereotype that all “CREATIVES” are hippies with bare-feet, guitars and paintbrushes. Yes, musicians and artists are creative, but so are mathematicians and engineers! It’s easy to appreciate Walt Disney types, but have you ever heard of Johannes Kepler? He was a Christian best known for “discovering the three mathematical laws of planetary motion (“Kepler’s Laws”) that established the discipline of celestial mechanics. He also discovered the elliptical patterns in which the planets travel around the sun.” When asked about his scientific advancements he said, “I think God’s thoughts after him.” No matter your personality, you are creative if you think God’s thoughts! We are called to think like the Father and fill our thought life with imaginations of His goodness.
“O God, I am thinking Thy thoughts after Thee.” – Johannes Kepler
So don’t say you can’t dream or you don’t have an imagination! Call unto HIM and HE can give you HIS creative thoughts. If you have the imagination to worry, then you can be creative! Use your imagination to express His glory and advance His Kingdom today.
- Has you imagination muscle become flabby with adulthood?
- Could you say your FAITH is still childlike?
- IMAGINE today how much the Father loves you. See yourself as his child and imagine sitting on his lap.
- Pray for God’s creative solutions when you face problems or solutions today. God can give you creative whys to do anything!
Day 15. Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3
Thank you Lord for making me in your creative image. I declare that I am a creative person. Help me use my imagination to have see the unseen and make something out of nothing. Lord, forgive me for using my imagination for thinking of ways to WORRY! I give you my imagination. Cleanse it and release it into your creative calling.
Big Thought: You are creative, because you are CREATED in His image.
